Vaughn Roadruck
Owner
Vaughn is a proud U.S. Air Force veteran, a devoted father of two, and the driving force behind 1st Choice Environmental’s commitment to doing things right. His path to environmental consulting took him through the regulatory side of the industry first — where he served as an asbestos regulator responsible for enforcing compliance and conducting inspections across the region. That experience gave him something most consultants simply don’t have: an insider’s understanding of what agencies expect, what triggers enforcement action, and what it actually takes to pass regulatory review. Now a Washington State certified Asbestos Supervisor, Vaughn brings that same discipline and attention to detail — shaped by years of military service and regulatory work — to every project. Whether he’s overseeing an abatement job or guiding a client through a complicated compliance situation, he approaches the work the same way he approaches everything: with integrity, precision, and a genuine commitment to the people he serves.
Jens Anderson
Owner
Jens is a dedicated father of two whose analytical mind and relentless attention to detail define everything he does — at home and in the field. Before co-founding 1st Choice Environmental, he built a career in business analytics and developed applications for the U.S. military, work that demanded precision, critical thinking, and the ability to solve complex problems under pressure. Those skills translate directly to environmental inspections, where accuracy isn’t optional — it’s the difference between a project moving forward smoothly and one that gets shut down. As a certified Lead Inspector and AHERA certified Asbestos Building Inspector, Jens brings a methodical, data-driven approach to every survey and report. He’s the kind of inspector who catches what others miss, and his clients trust him because he treats every inspection like his own family’s safety depends on it.

Also serving Stevens, Pend Oreille, Lincoln, Whitman, Adams, Grant, and Ferry Counties in Eastern Washington; Kootenai, Bonner, Benewah, Shoshone, and Latah Counties in North Idaho; and Missoula, Flathead, Mineral, and Sanders Counties in Western Montana.
